Printer spooler cannot add a printer and you receive printer spooler error messages in Windows XP

Step 1 Click "Start"
Step 2 Click "Run"
Step 3 Type in "services.msc"
Step 4 Click OK
Step 5 Find Print Spooler in the list of services
Step 6 Click "Stop"

Step 7 Once the service has stopped, restart it by clicking on "Start"
